My Travel Plans

When I left my dear home town of Hubley in Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada in January 2013, and landed in Cape Town, South Africa, on 1 February 2013, I just knew that it was my destiny to explore the rest of the world.

The travel bug has bitten me, dear friends!

I stayed with Reggie and Richard (as well as Miss Tuffy-Cat and Gilbert-the-Gnome) in Cape Town for several months, while they showed me all around the beautiful Western Cape. We even travelled up to Namibia together at the start of April 2013 for about 10 days.

At the start of May 2013, I flew to the United Kingdom with Paula and Morton, who happen to be Reggie’s neighbours. Together, we explored the beautiful English countryside, meeting friendly people everywhere.

In June 2013, Reggie and Richard met us in the southern England town of Salisbury, and I spent the next three weeks travelling with them around England, Scotland and a bit of Wales. What an exciting road trip that was! (Reggie is still busy updating my blog with all the adventures we had.)

At the end of July 2013, I travelled (by airmail) to the USA, where I stayed with Paprika and Oregano in New Jersey for a couple of days. The three of us then flew to Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming and South Dakota for a week, which was great fun!

Towards the end of August 2013, I took the mail-plane across the vast Pacific Ocean (at least I think we flew across the Pacific – I was stuck in a padded envelope without any way of looking out the window) and to the small town of Karratha, West Australia. Here, I met up with Gudrun and her husband, who were getting ready for a big trip to the gorgeous islands of the Seychelles! I was almost too late for that flight, but luckily made it just in the nick of time.

I am now in Germany with Gudrun’s daughter Janine, who has promised to take me to a number of cities all around Germany, which promises to be very exciting indeed.

My travel plans thereafter have not yet been finalised, but I have received invitations from some wonderful people in different countries around the world, including Germany (some family of Reggie’s has invited me), Denmark (a blogging buddy from Denmark has invited me), Northern Ireland (a friend of Reggie’s has said I could visit), New Zealand (a friend from Wellington – and a friend from another part of New Zealand have graciously offered to host me for a while), and the United States of America (some wonderful blogging buddies around the country have generously offered to show me around their home towns).

If you would like me to visit you, whether for a couple of days or even a week or two, please let me know. I would love to meet you all!

You can use my contact form to reach me – or rather Reggie, who has kindly agreed to be my travel agent and to continue updating the blog on my behalf.
