What a busy weekend we had! The balloons at the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning launched Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Paprika said I must be a good luck charm because they haven’t had a balloon festival with such cooperative weather in many years.
Saturday night we watched the balloons with Paprika and Oregano’s friends, Chocolate and Cheerio. While we were waiting, I was playing around in the corn field and on some hay.
On Sunday night, another balloon landed around the corner again. Oregano and Paprika helped them pack it up. It’s quite a bit of work to squeeze all that hot air out of a giant balloon.
After such an exciting weekend, I was tired so Paprika and I spent a beautiful summer afternoon relaxing in the garden. I borrowed Paprika’s sunglasses because it was so bright and sunny. While I was sitting there, a butterfly the same color as me floated by. It drifted from flower to flower.
Paprika was telling me all about Alaska. Packing for this trip and so many different weather conditions is going to be challenging. Paprika will certainly need my help as she prepares.
